Enrich your home with colour, history and culture.

Yinka Ilori’s graphic and brightly hued OMI PLATE is inspired by the Yoruba word “omi” meaning “water”.

Looking at the history of London's Royal Docks and the deliveries of Caribbean barrels of rum, sugarcane, coffee, tobacco and so much more, this colourful artwork celebrates the exchange of cultures and the oceanic routes the ships would sail. Note the orange ripples set upon a deep blue background and the contrasting barrel-shaped details – each referencing the historic moment and time.

Yinka Ilori has teamed up with a small supplier in Portugal on a collection of stoneware serveware. Individually hand finished, each piece is hand-moulded for a slightly irregular, organic shape, contrasting the precise, geometric elements of the artwork. Due to the handcrafted nature of this item, there may be slight imperfections on the surface which adds to the charm of the item.
