Home sweet home.

Add the finishing touch to your living space with Yinka Ilori’s GANGAN RUG, infused with sweetness and exploding with colour.

The artwork is titled “omi” meaning “pineapple” in Yoruba. One of Nigeria’s most popular fruits, pineapples are nostalgic to Yinka, they remind him of the beautiful pineapple trees of Nigeria and his parents bringing them home during the summer months. Look closely to see pineapple shaped graphics in bold, clashing hues – abstract pineapple leaves create a border for the artwork and the soft yellow is reminiscent of the inside of a pineapple.

Individually woven by hand, this rug is intricately crafted by skilled artisans in Nepal using Tibetan wool. It is crafted using a 'hand knot' technique, a highly intricate and complex craft with thousands of individual, tightly knotted yarns making up the abstract pattern which is then carved by hand. This technique ensures both superior quality and durability.

Please note that this rug is made to order and as it's handmade in Nepal, it will take 10-14 weeks to be produced.
