IGI Umbrella
IGI Umbrella
Finding joy on the rainiest of days.
Yinka Ilori re-imagines a British staple, infused with nostalgia and appreciation for nature.
Stay dry and stand out under the IGI UMBRELLA. The artwork is named after the Yoruba word for “tree” and is inspired by Yinka’s time spent in Nigeria. A vivid childhood memory sitting underneath a cashew nut tree in the back garden of his grandparents house in Nigeria, Ekiti State, inspired the branch-like shapes within the contrasting geometric pattern.
It is made from recycled bottles and digitally printed for a vibrancy and longevity. The curved handle is covered in genuine leather and is sculpted to fit comfortably in your hand.
