CHAIRMAN T-SHIRT TYPES OF HAPPINESS - WHITE
CHAIRMAN T-SHIRT TYPES OF HAPPINESS - WHITE
The first foray into clothing, the Chairman t-shirt draws inspiration from Yinka Ilori's roots, while celebrating his career to date, which has seen him up-cycle furniture to convey new narratives through design. The t-shirt which is available in two base colours white and blue reproduces a chair from his recent project ‘Types of Happiness’ in which colours and patterns were carefully painted onto six bespoke and unique chairs to elicit an emotional response, with this design representing strength.
The t-shirt also bears the term ‘Chairman’ across the front of the t-shirt in neon green, a Nigerian slang term frequently used by Yinka's friends in jest, and which translates as “bossman” or “big boss”.
Also available in Winter Blue.
The cotton t-shirt contains fibre that complies with Oekotex Standard 100, GRS (Global Recycling Standard) PETA and Fair Wear. The rougher texture is a deliberate environmental choice and is a feature of open-ended yarn which uses 50% fewer processes than ring-spun yarn.
